Carmel, Captain Edmund Francis Duncan (Posthumously)

 

     

    Captain Edmund Francis Duncan enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 16, and served in Company “C” of the 102nd Engineers for 12 years. Captain Duncan rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant and was commissioned during World War II, where he served in both the European and Pacific Theatre’s of Operations. As a Commissioned Officer Captain Duncan commanded “F” Company of the 375th Engineers, from Normandy to Wursburgh Germany, and then traveled the Philippine Islands to await the invasion of the Japanese mainland.
