Mount Kisco, N.Y. – (8/15/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C-Patterson) provided the Village Board of Mount Kisco with a legislative update Monday, focusing on the recently passed property tax cap, two balanced New York State budgets, the successful MTA Tax Repeal, various job creation initiatives, this session’s middle class tax cut, and ongoing veterans initiatives.
Deputy George Griffin Jr. recognized Sen. Ball’s unremitting push for veteran employment opportunities and disability benefits. “Personally and whole heartedly I’d like to thank you for the hard work you’ve done for our veterans,” said the Deputy. “I’ve seen you at the American Legion as well as at other events for our (veterans) and I think you’re doing a great job.”
For Senator Ball, resting on his laurels is not an option, “it is critically important for me to regularly meet with the local leadership in my rather large district to develop concrete goals moving into the next legislative session,” said Senator Ball when asked about the goal of his local legislative updates. “I am here to help in absolutely anyway I can, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.”
At the conclusion of the update, the Mount Kisco Board of Trustees provided feedback to the Senator. “I am impressed with the fact that you’re willing to work across lines and you appear to be representing us very well and I thank and congratulate you for that,” said Town Trustee Joseph Morreale. “You now have impressed me almost as much as Paul Ryan has in Washington.”
