“I am honored to accept Larry Gibbs into the Veterans’ Hall of Fame. Specialist Laurence Gibbs served in the U.S. Army, where he trained as both a Crew Chief on Huey Helicopters and a M-60 gunner. Specialist Gibbs served in the Vietnam War, where he was part of the rescue missions during the Tet Offensive. He received numerous medals, including the Good Conduct Award, Military Justice Certification, the Vietnam Active Duty Medal and the Sharpshooter’s Award. Specialist Lawrence served in the Air Force Reserves for many years, and is heavily involved in both the VFW Post 391 and the Boys Scouts of America.
