Lewisboro, Private First Class Daniel Sant
Drafted in 1944, Private First Class Daniel Sant served with the 77th Infantry Division with the U.S. Army after WWII in Yokohama and Hokaido, Japan, where he searched villages for weapons and made military maps of the area. Private First Class Sant is the recipient of numerous medals, including the Expert Infantryman award, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. After the service, Private First Class Sant worked for the railroad for 48 years and managed over 2,000 people. Private First Class Sant married his wife Frances in 1949 and they recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.
