Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. – 10/21/2013 – Senator Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) along with Hudson Valley Hospital Center hosted a free Senior Health Fair on Friday, October at the Morabito Community Center in Cortlandt Manor.

Dozens of vendors showed up to offer various services, consumer information and free give outs to the seniors that attended.

“I was very excited to partner up with Hudson Valley Hospital Center to host another Senior Health Fair for our senior citizens. This fair is always a great opportunity for seniors to come in to receive free information and services,” said Senator Greg Ball. “I’m fighting to freeze school taxes for seniors, deliver much needed funding for senior programs throughout the district and I am also constantly working to support the concerns of individual constituents throughout my district.”

“As a community hospital, we are as committed to preventing illnesses as we are to treating them,’’ said John Federspiel, President of Hudson Valley Hospital Center. “The Fair provides a place for seniors to get free health screenings and information and to speak with doctors and other health practitioners in one location close to home. We are proud to team up with Senator Ball and provide this community resource.”

Seniors were able to receive valuable information as well as blood pressure screenings, cholesterol screenings, heart health information, nutritional counseling, senior living accommodations, weight loss counseling, wound care counseling and more! Shoprite of Cortlandt Manor was also at the fair to provide a free breakfast.

“I think this senior fair is terrific and I think Senator Ball is terrific. He does a lot for the veterans and the senior community,” said Philip Paul of Cortlandt Manor. “I have looked around at all the displays and things they have to offer here today. I am enjoying myself.”
