MEDIA ADVISORY: BALL, KATZ & LOCAL OFFICIALS TO CALL FOR FORENSIC AUDIT OF MTA NOW

State Senator Greg Ball (R,C-Patterson) and Assemblyman Steve Katz (R,I-Yorktown) will be joined by local officials and business leaders at a press conference THIS MONDAY to call for an immediate forensic audit of the Metropolitian Transportation Authority (MTA). The lawmakers believe that the mismanaged authority’s finances should be known and reviewed before the governor appoints a new MTA chair and chief fiscal officer to replace outgoing Jay Walder.
All media is invited and encouraged to attend the press conference which will be held outside the Somers Town Hall, 335 Route 22 in Somers, at 1 pm on Monday, August 15, 2011.
