Brewster, N.Y.– 2/2/2012— On Friday, February 3, 2012, Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) will host a roundtable focused on local job creation. Senator Ball has tapped the talents of economic development expert Mayor Delfino for the event, the former Mayor of White Plains who oversaw an impressive economic renaissance.

“The City of Peekskill is a jewel and perfectly positioned, with the proper stewardship, to benefit from immediate economic development and job creation,” Senator Ball said. “So, I’m teaming up with Peekskill to identify the resources that are already out there to help people get back to work and help surgically focus on opportunities for economic development within Peekskill.”

Back in October, Senator Ball visited with Mayor Mary Foster and her team as well as conducted a joint tour of the One-Stop Employment Center in Peekskill, N.Y. to get a better understanding of the services the center provides and help folks find jobs. The Senator joined Peekskill Mayor Mary Foster for a tour of the Center, as well as the downtown business district , where the two discussed jobs and economic development.

“A few months ago, Senator Ball visited Peekskill and committed to helps us foster economic development and job creation and the summit is the next step in bringing jobs to Peekskill,” Peekskill Mayor Mary Foster said. “I’m so impressed that Senator Ball has returned to Peekskill with top-notch experts in economic development that can help us grow. It is very important for small cities like Peekskill to have a partner in state government.”

Senator Ball has extended an open invitation for all members of the public to attend and give their input.
