Music Conservatory of Westchester Executive Director Carol Shiffman presents New York State Senator Suzi Oppenheimer with a special Conservatory proclamation for her support of the Arts at the organization’s 80th Anniversary Celebration held on October 3

 

SENATOR SUZI OPPENHEIMER HONORED BY THE  MUSIC CONSERVATORY OF WESTCHESTER

The Senator recognized for her continued support for the Arts at the Conservatory’s 80th Anniversary Celebration

 

Senator Suzi Oppenheimer (D-Mamaroneck) was recently honored by the Music Conservatory of Westchester for her continued support for the Arts.  The Senator was recognized at the celebration kicking off the Conservatory’s 80th Anniversary, which was held on October 3, 2009.

“We and our community salute your extraordinary commitment to public service, your many accomplishments in governance, education, and the improvement of lives, as well as your passion for the arts,” read the proclamation, which was bestowed on Senator Oppenheimer by Carol Shiffman, the Conservatory’s Executive Director.

Founded in 1929, the Music Conservatory of Westchester is the oldest and largest community arts school in a five-county region.  Today the Conservatory serves 3, 700 students, ranging in age from two to 87 years.

Senator Oppenheimer was proud to accept the award, which called her “a sterling example to all of exciting endeavors and rewards achieved through commitment, caring and passion.”
