Ranzenhofer to sponsor Unyts blood drive at Health Fair
Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer will be sponsoring an open-to-the-public blood drive with Unyts during the Family Health Fair on Saturday, August 2nd from 9 a.m. to noon at the Amherst Senior Center.

“One person needs blood every two seconds. Your blood donation helps families, friends and neighbors right here in Western New York and can save up to three lives. I encourage residents to schedule an appointment to help save lives at Erie County’s largest Family Health Fair,” said Senator Ranzenhofer.
“The need for donations in especially high in the summer. Giving now helps to ensure that local hospitals have a safe and adequate supply of blood,” said Mark Simon, Unyts President & CEO.
Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors should bring valid photo identification, wear comfortable clothing and drink more fluids than normal on the day of the drive.
