Mahopac, N.Y. – (6/23/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) visited Camp Kiwi in Mahopac on Saturday to plan for his First Responders Appreciation Day which will be held July 7th.
Senator Greg Ball is inviting all first responders and veterans to a complimentary day of family fun at Camp Kiwi located at 825 Union Valley Road in Carmel. The First Responders Appreciation Day is an event is to thank the police officers, firemen, EMT workers and veterans that continue to protect our freedom and keep us safe day in and day out.
“Congratulations are in order for Karla and Ivan and the entire Camp Kiwi family for an amazing 60 year anniversary marking a capstone of unparalleled service and dedication to the community! Our July 7thevent would not be possible without the selfless dedication of Ivan and Karla and I am so proud to be holding this great event the same year as their 60th anniversary! Our first responders and veterans have put their lives on the line to protect our citizens and nation,” said Senator Greg Ball. “July 7th will be a great day for the community to come together to thank those men and woman that have served our nation.”
There will be a free BBQ along with other food and beverages, batting cages, petting zoo, basketball courts, miniature golf, and swimming pool.
