Senator Ball Visits Opening Day in Lewisboro

SOUTH SALEM, NY (4/30/2011) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) visited Opening Day for Lewisboro’s Little League on Saturday at Lewisboro Town Park as part of his Concussion Management Awareness initiative.

Senator Ball co-sponsors S.3953, the Concussion Management and Awareness Act, which implements rules and regulations for the treatment and monitoring of youth athletes with mild traumatic brain injuries.

“Concussions create long-term, detrimental health effects, and those hits taken on the playing fields can have substantial and lasting impacts. It’s time to get serious and protect our young athletes so they can enjoy long and healthy lives,” said Senator Ball.
