Hundreds of local residents once again came to learn about job training programs, career counseling, and other employment resources as part of Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr.’s annual Job Resource Expo.

“Competition in the job market remains extremely high, which is why we wanted to provide these important services. Through this program, residents learned about different programs and services designed to help improve their chances of obtaining a job and building their career. I’m very pleased that we were able to help so many individuals,” said Senator Fuschillo (R-Merrick).

Representatives from 25 different government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and colleges provided a host of different services to those in attendance. Residents were able to have their resumes reviewed, get information about job training programs, and learn job searching tips & interviewing skills. Information was also provided about upcoming civil service exams, continuing education, social service assistance programs, and starting a small business.
