Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. – (1/12/2012) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C-Patterson) was the guest speaker at Tuesday night’s Rotary Club Meeting at the Cortlandt Colonial. The main focus of the conversation was the economy, accomplishments over the past year in Albany and the controversial process of Hydraulic fracturing.

“I am a strong believer of  limited government but I do believe that government should be effective and should work for the people,” Senator Ball said. “We have moved Albany forward by passing a balanced budget on time, finally repealing that job killing MTA payroll tax and passing the lowest tax rate for middle class working Americans in almost 50 years.”

Charter President of The Cortlandt Manor Rotary Club Sharon Irving said “Rotary is dedicated to service in our community, be it global, national or local. We work to serve the community in many ways including education on what is going on in our government and would like to thank Senator Ball for helping us accomplish that tonight”

The Cortlandt Rotary, The Ossining Rotary, Scarsdale Rotary, Riverdale Rotary, Putnam Valley Rotary and Yorktown Rotary Clubs were all represented at Tuesdays meeting in an continued effort to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

“Our sincerest thanks to Senator Ball to take the time from his busy schedule to visit our new club and ask for OUR views, suggestions and thoughts about increasing employment and issues this evening,” Charter President Irving said.
