SENATOR GREG BALL SECURES $150,000 FOR YORKTOWN RECREATION
Yorktown, N.Y. – 9/04/2012 – Senator Greg Ball (Patterson – R, C) was at the Yorktown Town Hall on Tuesday night to present a $150,000 capital grant that was successfully secured for the Yorktown Athletic Club.
Senator Ball made a pledge to the residents of Yorktown that he would work tirelessly to secure money to make much needed improvements to the park. Senator Ball is now happy to announce, that as a result of a three-way agreement between the Governor, Senate and Assembly, funds are now available for a $150,000 capital grant.
The President of the Yorktown Athletic Club, Rich Campanaro, was delighted that the grant was secured and is looking forward to using the money to make much needed renovations to multiple fields across Yorktown.
“There are a lot of fields in town that will be revamped with this money. The Yorktown Athletic Club supports anything that has to do with kids and athletics,” said Rich Campanaro. “I would like to thank senator Ball his hard work in securing this grant for our town.”
“These facilities need work and the Town needs some help with funding and I am proud to be able to help. Working with Supervisor Grace, Terrence Murphy and Nick Bianco, among others, I am so happy that we were able to secure this grant for Yorktown and I will support them in every way moving forward,” said Senator Greg Ball. “As long as I am in office, I will continue to deliver for the residents of Yorktown and all the towns I represent and fight to bring as much of our tax money back from Albany, to home, where it belongs.”
“On behalf of everyone in Yorktown we would like to thank Senator Ball for brining our tax money back to the town of Yorktown,” said Supervisor Michael Grace. “We hope to continue to work with Senator Ball in the years to come.”
“Senator Ball has once again delivered for the residents of Yorktown. I am so happy that our work has paid off and that this grant has come to fruition,” said Yorktown Councilman Terrence Murphy. “This money will be vital to making field upgrades and continuing the great youth programs we have here in Yorktown.”
“This is awesome, just great! It will help us to continue to keep the sports programs alive.” Said Yorktown Councilman Nick Bianco. “We thank the Senator for reaching out and thinking of us especially for something that will benefit the children.”
