The check presentation took place during the Yorktown Senior Lunch Program.

Senator Greg Ball is happy to announce, that as a result of a three-way agreement, between the Governor, Senate and Assembly, funds are now available for a total of $200,000. The Director of the Yorktown Senior Program said the grants will allow them to make much  needed renovations to their bathrooms and facilities.

After these upgrades it will be much more comfortable and will provide a better quality of life for all our seniors,” said the Director of the Yorktown Senior Center, Mary DeSilva. “Senator Balls is devoted to the Yorktown seniors. On behalf of all the seniors we are very grateful for Senator Ball.”

“I love my Yorktown seniors and I am very proud of all they do for the community! I am so happy that we were able to secure this grant for these much needed  renovations. Mary DeSilva and everyone down at the senior center do wonderful work for the community and I couldn’t be happier to deliver this grant,” said Senator Greg Ball. “I am proud to fight to bring as much of our tax money back from Albany, to home, where it belongs. As long as I am in office I will continue to fight for the residents of Yorktown and for all the constituents I represent district wide.”
