Senator Ranzenhofer Announces Property Tax Deadline Extension for Clarence Residents


Amherst, N.Y. – State Senator Mike Ranzenhofer announced an extension for the property tax deadline for Clarence residents today due to the Flight 3407 tragedy.  Governor David Paterson has extended the deadline to Tuesday, February 24, 2009 by Executive Order. 


 “This extension will allow the residents of Clarence more time to pay their property taxes due to the recent tragedy,” said Senator Ranzenhofer. 


The extension was a joint effort by Governor Paterson, Senator Ranzenhofer, Assemblyman Jane Corwin, and Clarence Town Supervisor Scott A. Bylewski.  Property taxpayers with questions may call Senator Ranzenhofer’s District Office at (716) 631-8695. 


Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer was elected to the New York State Senate in 2008.  He represents the 61st Senate District which includes part of the city of Tonawanda, the Towns of Amherst, Clarence, Newstead and Tonawanda in Erie County and all of Genesee County.
