WHISPERING PINE LANDSCAPE DONATES $10,000 TO VETERAN’S HOUSE REMODELING

Brewster, N.Y. – 06/19/2014 – Senator Greg Ball (R, C, I –Patterson), Chairman of the Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee, has received a $10,000 donation from Whispering Pine Landscape Supply in Yorktown, NY for the remodeling of local Vietnam War Veteran Dan Flanigan’s home.

Senator Ball and Purple Heart Homes are currently working to upgrade the home of Private Daniel Flanigan, a 100 percent service-connected disabled Vietnam veteran who lives in Pawling. Last week, Whispering Pine Landscape Supply contacted Senator Ball’s office and announced they will be donating $10,000 to the project.

“I am beyond grateful for this generous donation from Whispering Pine. It is contributions such as this that will make this project a success,” said Senator Greg Ball. “This money will help give a disabled war veteran the home he so greatly deserves, and improve his living situation dramatically.”

“Our company decided last year that we wanted to raise money for a local veteran. When we heard about Dan Flanigan, it made perfect sense that we would donate the funds we raise to his house renovations. It is great to see Senator Ball team up with Purple Heart Homes for this project, and I am very proud to be a part of such a wonderful cause,” said Brad Kuck of Whispering Pine Landscape Supply.
