Woman of Distinction From The Town of Pound Ridge, Joyce Ann Butterfield.

 

    Joyce Butterfield is a Board Member since 1984 and Life Member of The Pound Ridge Historical Society presently serving as the President, and Acquisition Chairperson. Ms. Butterfield served as an active life member of the Queens Historical Society from 1972- 1983, and a past member of the Landsmarks and Historic District Commission of Pound Ridge for six and a half years. Ms. Butterfield served as a mentor for a Pound Ridge Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, she is also a life time member of the Girl Scouts and a “Thanks” recipient. After joining in 1970 she served as a Scout Leader, Community Leader and Association President of Northeast Queens County. Moving to Pound Ridge, she served as Bedford Community Leader and PR & Publicity Chairperson. Ms. Butterfield also volunteered at the YMCA in New Canaan, Ct. six of the seventeen years she taught water fitness. Ms. Butterfield is a mother of three children, and recently celebrated her 50th Wedding Anniversary with her husband Luke.
