Recently, the New York State Senate approved legislation sponsored by Senator Flanagan that would repeal the onerous MTA Payroll Tax. This tax, which Senator Flanagan voted against in 2009, negatively impacts all businesses, hospitals, not-for-profits and other entities throughout our region and it has hurt our economy and stalled our job creation.
The legislation repealing this job-killing tax has been sent to the New York State Assembly for action and Senator Flanagan is calling on them to join the Senate in protecting our businesses and not-for-profits.
