East River Ferry service has proven to be a viable and popular form of year-round transit for NYC commuters, a highlight for visitors, and a key element in the revitalization of our city's waterfront.
The NYC Economic Development Corporation (EDC) just released a request for proposals for an East River Ferry operator -- and we're asking the City to make sure a year-round stop at Atlantic Avenue/Pier 6, on the southern end of Brooklyn Bridge Park, is a permanent part of any plan. This expanded service would serve residents, local businesses, and our city alike.
Sign our petition urging the City to make year-round ferry service to and from Atlantic Avenue/Pier 6 a reality, and read our letter to the EDC here .
We, the undersigned, urge NYCEDC to encourage respondents to the RFP for an East River Ferry operator to include year-round service to and from Atlantic Avenue/Pier 6 in their proposals and only award a contract to an operator that includes this service.
