FEMA Opens Storm Recovery Center In Westchester
The Federal Emergency Management Center (FEMA) has opened a multipurpose recovery center for individuals and businesses impacted by Hurricane Sandy at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. The Center will operate from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, seven days a week until further notice.
FEMA representatives will assist individuals, households and businesses apply for financial aid for losses and damages related to the storm. In addition, staff from the Small Buiness Administration will be on hand to help businesses apply for low-interest loans for storm-related repairs. In addition, representatives from Con Edison will be present to answer customer questions about outages and restorations. A number of social service agencies will also help staff the center, providing residents with counseling and other recovery assistance.

President Obama has declared Westchester County a disaster area, making residents eligible for federal disaster assistance.
