INCOME TAX REFUND TRACKING SERVICE

If your state or federal income tax returns indicate that you are going to be receiving a tax refund this year, you can check the status of your refund over the internet using a service offered by New York State and the federal government.

The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) both allow individuals to track the status of their tax refunds online through their respective websites. Individuals will be required to enter their social security number, the amount of their expected refund, and other information from their tax returns.
