Leader Stewart-Cousins spoke about Campaign Finance Reform and Women's Equality Agenda at the Reform Jewish Voice of NYS Advocacy Day which took place at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY. Pictured with her is Rabbi Marcus Burstein of Westchester Reform Temple.

The Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester hosted their annual fundraiser "A Gala To Remember: Continuing the Growth" on Thursday, May 2nd at Old Oaks Country Club in Purchase, NY, honoring distinguished Board member Karen Spar Kasner for her role "in revitalizing the agency", and presenting the Community Service Award to Assemblymember Amy Paulin.  Leader Stewart-Cousins attended the event to congratulate the honorees in person.

Leader Stewart-Cousins stopped by the Empire State Pride Agenda's Annual Equality and Justice Day Lunch on Tuesday, April 30th in Albany, NY to discuss advancing LGBT issues with ESPA board members, staff and special guests. Also in attendance, Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris.

Leader Stewart-Cousins stopped by John Paulding Elementary School in Tarrytown, NY for "Health Day", a free event open to the public where they can take advantage of free screenings including breast exams, blood pressure screenings, glucose monitoring, vision, and mental health assessments, on Saturday, April 28th. At the event, the Leader had her blood pressure and glucose screened by volunteer healthcare professionals from Phelps Memorial Hospital Center.

The League of Women Voters of Westchester, in collaboration with The American Association of University Women and the White Plains YWCA, sponsored the Running and Winning Workshop on Wednesday, April 17th, a day-long program for selected female students with potentiality to become great leaders. Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins was one of the elected officials who participated in this program who spoke at the event to encourage young women to run for public office someday.

Senator Stewart-Cousins attended the opening day of the Science Barge in Yonkers, NY. The Science Barge "is a prototype sustainable urban farm developed by NY Sun Works and acquired by Groundwork Hudson Valley in October, 2008 to be operated as an environmental education center. The Science Barge greenhouse, floating on the Hudson River, grows an abundance of fresh produce including tomatoes, melons, greens, and lettuce with zero net carbon emissions, zero pesticides, and zero runoff".
