Help Restore Yellow School Bus Service For Staten Island Students

Senator Andrew Lanza is leading the fight to ensure that Staten Island students will have their yellow school bus service restored. Lanza recently secured passage of his legislation (S.2328) that will require the New York City Department of Education to provide school bus service to ALL students citywide who are in need of transportation. Leaving no stone unturned, Lanza also joined Assemblyman Michael Cusick on additional legislation (S.5897) which will force the City to fill empty school bus seats and give Staten Island its fair share of transportation resources. JOIN THE FIGHT TO STOP PORT AUTHORITY TOLL INCREASES!

On August 19th, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey voted on a proposal to increase tolls on Staten Island's three bridges and the busiest entries into New York City. Commuters and businesses are facing outrageous round-trip tolls to use the Goethals, Outerbridge, Bayonne and George Washington Bridges along with Lincoln and Holland Tunnels. These increases, during one of the largest continued economic recessions this country and state have experienced, are placing a major financial burden on millions of New Yorkers.
