Senator Andrew Lanza announced today that he’s seeking nominations for the New York State Senate’s “Veterans' Hall of Fame,” an online tribute to the military and civilian lives of distinguished veterans from across New York State.“So many veterans served our nation courageously and honorably, and then returned home to lift the lives of our local communities.  The Senate Veterans' Hall of Fame is just one more way to give a local veteran a well-deserved and well-earned expression of our gratitude and admiration,” said Lanza.

SENATOR ANDREW LANZA DENOUNCES AMERICAN ATHEISTS’ HATEFUL TIMES SQUARE ADVERTISEMENT SAYING ‘NOBODY’ NEEDS ‘CHRIST DURING CHRISTMAS’ Just as millions of Americans are preparing to celebrate Christmas, a secular activist group, American Atheists, unveiled its latest anti-Christmas ad in Times Square which asks, "Who needs Christ during Christmas? “ and answers with “Nobody ". The group declares that "Christmas is better without Christ."The digital, lighted billboard measures 40 feet by 40 feet. The group's 15-second ad is running three times every hour and will be shown over 1,000 times in Times Square before Christmas. The group will also unveil three billboards with the same message at Penn Station.

Help Restore Yellow School Bus Service For Staten Island Students

Senator Andrew Lanza is leading the fight to ensure that Staten Island students will have their yellow school bus service restored. Lanza recently secured passage of his legislation (S.2328) that will require the New York City Department of Education to provide school bus service to ALL students citywide who are in need of transportation. Leaving no stone unturned, Lanza also joined Assemblyman Michael Cusick on additional legislation (S.5897) which will force the City to fill empty school bus seats and give Staten Island its fair share of transportation resources.
