Niagara Falls, NY- On June 5, 2009, NYS Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties) and Chair of the Environmental Conservation Committee held a press event to announce that stimulus funding in the amount of $4.67 million will be released to the Niagara Falls Water Board. The total projected cost of this project is $11 million; $4.6 million will be coming from stimulus funds and the other $6.3 will come from subsidized loans to complete the project.

Albany, NY - NYS Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties) and the New York State Senate unanimously passed legislation that would prohibit the use of mechanical restraints including handcuffs and shackles, on any pregnant female prisoner who is about to give birth during transport from a correctional facility to a medical facility or other location for the purpose of delivering her child.
