Senator Brian X. Foley (D - Blue Point) announced a major grant to beneift the Sachem Public Library during a recent visit to the library. Sen. Foley has secured $250,000 grant for the libray through the State Dormitory Authority.

The funding will go towards expanding the "teen service area" and the establishement of study/reading areas at the library. In addition, the library will now be able to purchase RFID equipment; a modern tool to better organize books throughout the library and make operations more efficient.
