Charles J. Fuschillo Jr.'s Events

     New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with NuHealth/Nassau Health Care Corporation, will be sponsoring a breast cancer screening program on Thursday, April 18th from 8:45 am to 12:00 pm at the Freeport Library. The library is located at 144 West Merrick Road in Freeport.

     Appointments are necessary and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. On site nurses and technicians will provide a mammography, a clinical breast examination and instructions for self examination. Patients and their physicians will be notified of the exam results.

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) will be holding a roundtable discussion at Lindenhurst High School to help raise awareness about the growing problem of distracted driving.

Those participating in the discussion will be:

Jacy Good, who was permanently injured and lost her parents in a crash caused by a distracted driver;
Trooper Frank Bandiero, New York State Police;
Kristen Curran, a senior at Lindenhurst High School who recently obtained her driver's license;
Students from Ms. Dowd's Dock Law Class, all of whom are seniors and licensed drivers.

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and the New York State Department of Financial Services will be sponsoring a free program in Bellmore to assist residents and business owners with insurance related issues stemming from damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

            Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that he will be sponsoring a free legal services program in Copiague to continue to help residents recover from the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) will be partnering with Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano in sponsoring a free Senior ID Card Program in Baldwin.

     The program will be held from 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm on Wednesday, April 10th at the Baldwin Public Library, located at Grand Avenue and Prospect Street in Baldwin. All Nassau County residents ages 65 and over are eligible to participate and receive a free senior ID card. No appointments are necessary.
