        Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) today announced that New York State’s “complete streets” law, which he authored to help make roadways safer for all who use them, takes effect this Saturday, February 11th.

        "This law will help save lives and make our roads safer for everyone. Complete streets design principles have been proven to reduce fatalities and injuries. Taking them into consideration on future projects will help safeguard drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists of all ages and abilities while they’re on the roads,” said Senator Fuschillo, Chairman of the Senate’s Transportation Committee.

        Senator Charles J. Police Officers Would Have Routine Digital Access to an Individual’s Driver License Photo in the Field Under Proposed Law

The legislation would allow officers to have routine access to DMV driver license photo images when performing their duties.

The scouts, Brian Harding and Kyle Kravit of Merrick, Jack Miller of Farmingdale, and Tim O’Leary of East Meadow, are competing as a team in the First Lego League’s “Food Factor” competition. The First Lego League is a competition designed to get children excited about science and technology through research, problem solving and engineering.
