    New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with NuHealth/Nassau Health Care Corporation, will be sponsoring a breast cancer screening program on Thursday, April 18th from 8:45 am to 12:00 pm at the Freeport Library. The library is located at 144 West Merrick Road in Freeport.

    Appointments are necessary and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. On site nurses and technicians will provide a mammography, a clinical breast examination and instructions for self examination. Patients and their physicians will be notified of the exam results.

    NuHealth’s guidelines for the program are as follows:

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with the Integrated Medical Foundation, will be sponsoring a free prostate cancer screening program in Massapequa Park.

     The free screening program will be held on Thursday, April 4th between 4 pm and 6 pm at the Massapequa Library’s Bar Harbour Building, which is located at 40 Harbor Lane in Massapequa Park. The free screenings will be conducted by Michael Dourmashkin, MD of Advanced Urology of New York.

     The Integrated Medical Foundation’s guidelines for the program are as follows:

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently congratulated Sanford H. Calhoun High School Senior Emma McNamara on being chosen as a national semi-finalist in the 2013 Intel Science Talent Search.

     “Emma has earned an incredible honor and achieved something of which she should be very proud. After dedicating so much of her time, energy, and effort to her research project, she has earned a place among a very elite group of young men and women. I congratulate Emma on this remarkable achievement, which I am sure is only the first of many more to come,” said Senator Fuschillo.

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Levy-Lakeside Elementary School in Merrick to serve as a guest reader to Ms. Eisman’s kindergarten class. Senator Fuschillo read to the class as part of Levy-Lakeside’s annual Community Read Aloud Celebration.

             Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently congratulated Mepham High School science student Corey Wald on being named a national semi-finalist in the 2013 Intel Science Talent Search.  

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently joined with members of the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce in celebrating the grand opening of Benny B’s Restaurant.  Benny B’s is located at 2092 Grand Avenue in Baldwin.
