State Senators Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) and Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District) today announced support for the MTA’s proposal to create a new Republic Train Station and adding a full double track between Farmingdale and Ronkonkoma.

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), Chairman of the Senate's Transportation Committee, recently met with newly appointed Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Board member, and Wantagh resident, John Molloy. Mr. Molloy was recently confirmed by the New York State Senate to his new position.
Senator Fuschillo congratulated Mr. Molloy on his new position and discussed a number of issues with him, including the future of the MTA, current MTA & LIRR services, and the need to cut costs and avoid fare increases to help make the MTA more affordable for residents.

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), Chairman of the New York State Senate’s Transportation Committee, announced that the committee will be holding a public hearing on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (MTA) finances. The hearing will provide the Committee with an update on the MTA’s capital spending plan and operating budget as they pertain to each MTA agency.
