FREEPORT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NAMES SENATOR FUSCHILLO “CITIZEN OF THE YEAR”

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) was recently named “Citizen of the Year” by the Freeport Chamber of Commerce.

     The Freeport Chamber of Commerce bestowed the award on Senator Fuschillo “in recognition of [his] outstanding service and contributions to the Village of Freeport.”

     “I am extremely grateful and thankful to the Freeport Chamber of Commerce for honoring me with this award. I look forward to continuing to work with the Freeport Chamber of Commerce to improve the quality of life for all the residents of the Village,” said Senator Fuschillo.

SENATOR FUSCHILLO JOINS BALDWIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN CELEBRATING THE GRAND OPENING OF BENNY B’S RESTAURANT

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently joined with members of the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce in celebrating the grand opening of Benny B’s Restaurant.  Benny B’s is located at 2092 Grand Avenue in Baldwin.

SENATOR FUSCHILLO INFORMS RESIDENTS ABOUT SMALL BUSINESS EMERGENCY LOAN FUND TO ASSIST BUSINESS AFFECTED BY HURRICANE SANDY

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) is informing residents that a new $10 million emergency small business emergency loan fund has been created to provide financial assistance for businesses impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Businesses will be able to apply for loans of up to $25,000 immediately by going to http://www.esd.ny.gov or calling 1-855-NYS-SANDY.

BUSINESSES LEARN HOW TO GROW AT SENATOR FUSCHILLO’S SMALL BUSINESS NETWORKING EXPO

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently held his annual Small Business Networking Expo, where entrepreneurs from across Long Island came to network and learn how to help their businesses grow.

     Business owners who participated in Senator Fuschillo’s Small Business Networking Expo were able to learn about a variety of different business assistance programs designed to help businesses grow and develop. At the event, business owners were able to speak individually with representatives from government and non-profit agencies about these programs, as well as with representatives from local Chambers of Commerce about the services they provide.

FUSCHILLO LEGISLATION CREATING STRONGER PENALTIES FOR PROFESSIONAL SHOPLIFTERS PASSED BY SENATE

        Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that the New York State Senate has passed legislation he sponsored to raise penalties for criminals who use “booster bags” and other anti-security devices to steal merchandise from store shelves.

SENATOR FUSCHILLO JOINS MERRICK CHAMBER IN CELEBRATING GRAND OPENING OF NEW MERRICK BUSINESS

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently joined with members of the Merrick Chamber of Commerce and local community officials in celebrating the grand opening of Prime 516 restaurant. Prime 516 is located on Merrick Avenue in Merrick, just north of the Merrick Train Station.

Senator Fuschillo congratulated the owners and staff and wished them many years of success. He then joined with the Merrick Chamber of Commerce in cutting the ribbon and officially welcoming Prime 516 to the Merrick community.
