Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) is inviting all current and prospective small business owners to his 2013 Small Business Networking Expo, which take place on Thursday, April 18th from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the Seaford Knights of Columbus, located at 2183 Jackson Avenue in Seaford.
The event will provide current and aspiring small business owners with an opportunity to network with one another and learn about services that could help their business grow. Additionally, businesses that were affected by Superstorm Sandy will be able to get information and speak to representatives from government and non-profit agencies about recovery programs designed to help businesses.
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) was recently named “Citizen of the Year” by the Freeport Chamber of Commerce.
The Freeport Chamber of Commerce bestowed the award on Senator Fuschillo “in recognition of [his] outstanding service and contributions to the Village of Freeport.”
“I am extremely grateful and thankful to the Freeport Chamber of Commerce for honoring me with this award. I look forward to continuing to work with the Freeport Chamber of Commerce to improve the quality of life for all the residents of the Village,” said Senator Fuschillo.

Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) is informing residents that a new $10 million emergency small business emergency loan fund has been created to provide financial assistance for businesses impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Businesses will be able to apply for loans of up to $25,000 immediately by going to http://www.esd.ny.gov or calling 1-855-NYS-SANDY.

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently joined with members of the Merrick Chamber of Commerce and local community officials in celebrating the grand opening of Prime 516 restaurant. Prime 516 is located on Merrick Avenue in Merrick, just north of the Merrick Train Station.
