Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently appeared as a guest on TV 10/55 “Focus,” a weekly half hour weekly public affairs show which and discuss the issues that are important to Long Island.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the Nassau County Police Department nabbed 87 drunken drivers –– count ’em, 87 –– during a stepped-up enforcement effort. In Suffolk County, police reported 60 arrests.
And these, we should note, were the people who got caught.
That means that over the holiday weekend, there were likely hundreds of people who were driving drunk on Long Island streets and highways, each perfectly capable of crashing his or her vehicle and killing an innocent person driving or standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with the Nassau Health Care Corporation, will be sponsoring a breast cancer screening program on Thursday, December 30th from 8:30 am to 2:10 pm at the Wantagh Library. The library is located at 3285 Park Avenue in Wantagh. Appointments are necessary and will be scheduled on first-come, first-served basis. On site nurses and technicians will provide a mammography, a clinical breast examination and instructions for self examination.
