Grants save taxpayers, offset cost of sewer and garage upgrades, fund summer reading program
MORRISTOWN (September 18, 2010)—State Sen. Darrel J. Aubertine met with officials and residents from the town and village of Morristown in the village’s historic library today to announce four grants totaling $3.335 million in state funding secured by the Senator for the town and village sewer project, an energy efficiency project at the town highway garage, and the town library’s summer reading program.
ALBANY (February 2, 2010)—The New York State Senate today passed by unanimous vote legislation (S.5426) sponsored by Sen. Darrel J. Aubertine intended to empower county, city, town and village highway superintendents to better share services across municipal lines to save money.
More than 100 representatives from local governments and nonprofit groups turned out for the unveiling of a new Web site for finding grants, which was made possible by a member item secured by Sen. Aubertine and the hard work of SUNY Canton.
