Stimulus-Funded Initiative Will Enhance Traffic Mobility, Increase Security
New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Acting Commissioner Stanley Gee was in the Thousand Islands today to mark the beginning of a $1.3 million highway project to improve traffic mobility and security at the Customs and Border Protection Station on Interstate 81 on Wellesley Island, Jefferson County. The project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).

As signs of improvement in our economy are beginning to emerge, now is not the time for the governor to walk away from a commitment we secured last May to fund road and bridge projects in Upstate New York.

OGDENSBURG (September 27, 2010)—State Sen. Darrel J. Aubertine today joined the board of the Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority and local community leaders to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge and announce a $30,000 legislative grant he secured to make improvements to Building 14 in the industrial park.
