Senator opposes proposal and introduces legislation that would allow for continued use of boilers

MASSENA (June 2, 2010) - New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief Executive Officer Richard M. Kessel today was joined by several North Country officials at a ceremony marking the signing of an historic agreement to provide some of the most significant economic development benefits to the region in recent history. The agreement calls for the Power Authority to provide $16 million and 20 megawatts (MW) of low-cost hydropower for economic development purposes throughout St. Lawrence County.

ALBANY (May 12, 2010)—The New York State Senate today passed by a 52-9 vote legislation sponsored by Sen. Aubertine (S.4277) that would allow all-terrain vehicle riders to legally register and ride utility trail vehicles on trail systems throughout the state.

ALBANY (April 27, 2010)—The New York State Senate Transportation Committee today moved legislation sponsored by Sen. Aubertine (S.4277) that would allow all-terrain vehicle riders to legally register and ride side-by-side ATVs on trail systems throughout the state.
The committee voted 16-1, meaning the bill—which has an Assembly sponsor—will be eligible for consideration soon on the Senate floor.
