New York Seniors face new challenges among an increasingly aging demographic, and it is important to meet these challenges by having an active level of participation among those who are affected. Seniors are the backbone of our community and play an important role in shaping the public debate. Keeping our seniors engaged and up to speed is an important priority of Senator Carlucci’s mission of providing the best quality services available. 

Senator Carlucci Hosts 3rd Annual Senior Fair

According to U.S. Census Data, there are more than 45,000 seniors residing within Rockland County alone. This amounts to nearly 15% of the county's total residential population.

Today Senator David Carlucci teamed up with Rockland Community College to host their third annual Senior Fair at the College. The Senior Fair was a unique opportunity for senior citizens to learn about new opportunities related to healthcare services, recreational and educational programming, non-profit assistance, financial services, and more.

This event allowed seniors to continue aging-in-place while taking advantage of the community-based services that make independent living possible
