Over 100 Veterans and Family Members Attend, Including World War II Servicemen
NYACK, NY – In commemoration of Pearl Harbor Day, Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) today held his first annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast, offering a free brunch to scores of veterans who served in combat in World War II up through the war in Afghanistan. Many of the attendees are members of the Senator's Veterans Advisory Committee.
In order to encourage dialogue between Albany and the veterans community, Senator Carlucci every few months holds an informative Veterans Advisory Committee meeting in Rockland County. This is a chance for veterans to learn about what services are available to them and their families at the state level, offer their ideas and suggestions on specific legislation being debated in the New York State Legislature, and make their voices heard.
