FEMA Recovery Center to Open Saturday September 10 in Pomona

A FEMA disaster recovery center will open on Saturday, September 10 at the Provident Bank Stadium in Pomona. FEMA representatives as well as personnel from the New York State Department of Labor and the Small Business Administration will be on hand to guide residents through the application process. Anyone who has not yet registered for assistance should call FEMA at FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362)or go online at www.disasterassistance.gov.

Senator Carlucci: Assisting Residents and Businesses Recover from Hurricane Irene

(Nanuet, NY)  Hurricane Irene has left approximately 48,000 residents in our area without power and caused extensive damage to homes and businesses.  Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) has been touring Rockland and Orange counties and will continue to do so over the next 24-48 hours with local government officials and business owners to determine how the state can help with recovery both in the immediate and long terms. 

“My priority over the next several days is to ensure that residents and businesses receive the assistance they require to recover from the damaging effects of Hurricane Irene,”  Senator Carlucci said.
