“Today I am urging Orange and Rockland to begin making the necessary preparations in advance of the possible arrival of Hurricane Sandy. We cannot be in a position where our utility companies are unable to service its customers and subsequently are left in the dark.
"At the same time residents are preparing to make their own arrangements in the event that the storm hits the Hudson Valley, our utility companies must be doing the same.
Senator Carlucci is fighting to restore the Middle Class STAR Rebate Program for homeowners in the Hudson Valley. He has co-sponsored legislation that would ensure that working families once again receive their STAR Rebate Check in the mail and are provided that added safety net.

ORANGEBURG, NY – Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) today was joined by small business owners and local elected officials at Nice-Pak, Inc., to announce his 5-Point Jobs Plan, a comprehensive blueprint for action that will jumpstart the economy and create jobs here in the Hudson Valley.
NANUET, NY – Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) and the Lions Club of North Rockland today announced that they will be hosting a free eye screening program for children between the ages of 2 – 5 years old. The program helps identify children with amblyopia and is conducted in partnership with the Ira G. Ross Eye Institute.
The event will be held next Monday, October 8th from 10:00am – 2:00pm at Senator Carlucci’s District Office, located at 95 South Middletown Road, Nanuet.

This is a chance for anyone who cannot afford a routine Mammography and Clinical Breast Exam to actually receive one.
