Senator Carlucci Announces Mobile Office Hours in Clarkstown

NANUET – Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) today announced that his office will be holding Mobile Office Hours at the New City Library, located at 220 North Main Street on Saturday, January 7 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.  A staff member will be present in the front lobby to provide direct assistance to any local and statewide issues that are of concern to residents.

Senator Carlucci Announces Consumer Protection Bill

NANUET, NY – Just in time for the holiday season, Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) today announced consumer protection legislation that warns parents of the potential dangers associated with artificial Christmas trees.  Senate bill (S1644) sponsored by the Senator would require that a warning label be attached to any holiday decorations containing lead that are sold in New York State.

WARWICK - Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) on Friday visited Trans Tech, a manufacturer of conventional and environmentally friendly electric Type-A school buses, to showcase how promoting green technology manufacturers will spur economic growth and create jobs here in Orange County.  Trans Tech, which develops zero emissions Type-A school buses, allowed Senator Carlucci to take a drive on one of its cutting edge green fleet vehicles.

Nearly 40,000 Hudson Valley businesses will no longer pay the MTA payroll tax

ALBANY — About 39,400 businesses in the Hudson Valley will no longer have to pay a payroll tax for being located in the Metropolitan Transportation Authority service region, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday.

Senator Carlucci Saves Small Businesses Money

Senator David Carlucci today visited Adam Lipson, President & CEO of Network & Security Technologies, to discuss the importance of the new MTA payroll tax reduction on small businesses.  On Wednesday night, the New York State legislature voted to eliminate or substantially reduce the MTA payroll tax for businesses whose payroll is $1.25 million and under.

Carlucci Passes Tax Reduction Plan

Senator David Carlucci on Wednesday voted to bring a more fair and progressive tax system to New York that will cut taxes for middle class taxpayers and bring relief to small businesses and non-profit organizations affected by the MTA payroll tax.

Illegal Scams Costs New Yorkers Millions of Dollars Each Year


HAVERSTRAW – Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) today announced his plan to combat automobile insurance rate evasion, a fraudulent practice that costs New York taxpayers and ratepayers millions of dollars each year.  The senator has co-sponsored legislation (S.5695) that grants new authority to law enforcement personnel, while at the same time changes existing requirements relative to applying to register a vehicle and secure a drivers license in New York.

Senator Carlucci and Nyack Hospital Want to Help You Protect Yourself From the Flu

 Senator Carlucci and Nyack Hospital are offering a limited supply of free flu shots to residents ages 19 and up.  Please call Senator Carlucci’s office at 845-623-3627 to make an appointment.

Flu shots will be administered on November 3rd from 4-7 PM at the Haverstraw Community Center at 50 West Broad Street.

All residents receiving the flu shot must present valid ID.

Senator David Carlucci Brings the Spirit of Halloween to the Nyack Head Start

(Nyack, NY) Senator David Carlucci was at the Nyack Head Start getting the kids into the spirit of Halloween and talking to them about Halloween safety .  The Senator read Halloween books to the children who are ages 3-5 and distributed 800 trick or treat bags with safety tips and coloring books to Head Start programs throughout Rockland.

“Halloween is a fun holiday where children can let their imaginations run wild, but sometimes in the excitement, safety can be forgotten”  Senator Carlucci said.  “It was my pleasure to visit with the kids at the Nyack Head Start program and talk to them about how to stay safe and have fun this Halloween.  I wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween.”

Senator Carlucci Named a Member of the Circle of Friends by the NY Farm Bureau

Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) has been named a member of the New York Farm Bureau’s Circle of Friends 2011 Legislative Session.
