Starting on Tuesday, October 1, individuals, families, and small businesses can purchase health insurance through New York State of Health, the official state health plan marketplace. People can compare insurance options; calculate costs; check eligibility and sign up for programs like Medicaid; learn about financial assistance; and enroll online, in-person, over the phone, or by mail. Coverage is effective starting January 1, 2014.

SYRACUSE, N.Y.—State Senator David J. Valesky (D-Oneida) announced today that $1.716 million has been awarded for a paving project in Tully. Funded through the New York Works program, the project will repave Route 11 in Tully from its intersections with Route 80 to Route 20.
Yesterday, Senator Valesky presented a resolution commemorating the Onondaga Historical Association's 150th anniversary to Greg Tripoli, the Association's executive director. The OHA is a great resource for the community and Senator Valesky was pleased to acknowledge its efforts.
