This year I had the honor of nominating Rockville Centre resident, Sergeant Eugene “Mickey” Clark to the New York State Veterans Hall of Fame. Mickey has an exemplary military record and has demonstrated a true and unwavering commitment to his community and his country. I thank Mickey and all those in our armed forces for all that they do to protect our rights. To read Sgt. Clark’s biography, please click the link: http://www.nysenate.gov/story/eugene-mickey-clark
Each day men and women throughout New York State put on their uniforms in order to protect and serve our communities. Earlier this month it was an honor to pay respect to those individuals who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty at the State of New York Police Officers Memorial. Although they are no longer with us, their names and legacies will live on for generations to come.
