Each day men and women throughout New York State put on their uniforms in order to protect and serve our communities. Earlier this month it was an honor to pay respect to those individuals who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty at the State of New York Police Officers Memorial. Although they are no longer with us, their names and legacies will live on for generations to come.

I am proud to be leading the fight to help completely eliminate the GEA school aid budget cuts once and for all. This effort is designed to protect our local schools from harmful cuts in State education aid. This will not only ensure more resources for classroom instruction and quality programs, but will also help us to achieve our goal of ensuring an outstanding education for every child, in every school.
