Oceanside Elementary School #5 Earth Day Competition Posters

I would like to thank Oceanside Elementary School #5 and their students for participating in our Earth Day Poster Competition. In keeping with the theme of our Earth Day Celebration of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.” We will celebrate and honor Earth Day this year  by displaying your work on my website. Also, each participant will receive a certificate acknowledging their participation in the competition. Thank you and don’t forget to “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!”

Thomas G. Seifert

First Sergeant Thomas Seifert has had a distinguished 18 year career of service to the New York State Army National Guard. During his time with the New York National Guard First Sergeant Thomas Seifert has led his men on an off of the battle field. On September 11, 2001, as Squad Leader of B Company, 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment of the 42nd Infantry Division to the site of the World Trade Center disaster to provide assistance. Later in 2001 and through 2002, First Sergeant Seifert once again led B Company, as Squad Leader during Operation Nobel Eagle at United States Military Academy at West Point.

Staff Sergeant Lester Wilensky is a highly decorated and courageous combat veteran of World War II whose contributions on the battlefield and as a civilian have earned him the respect and admiration of family, friends and colleagues, as well as permanent place of recognition in the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame.
