Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos, Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb and representatives of business organizations from across the state will hold a news conference on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 124 of the Capitol to urge the Assembly to act on the Governor’s property tax cap legislation.
Joining members of the Senate and Assembly Republican conferences at the event will be representatives of the following organizations: The Business Council of New York State; Long Island Association; National Federation of Independent Business; North Country Chamber of Commerce; Westchester County Association; Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce; and The Business Council of Westchester.
Enactment of Property Tax Cap Must Be Top Priority This Session
Senate Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos, Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb and representatives of business organizations today urged the Assembly Majority to act on a meaningful property tax cap bill. The Senate overwhelmingly passed Governor Cuomo’s property tax cap legislation with bipartisan support earlier this year.
