LITTLE: SENATE APPROVES TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE BILL

 The State Senate today approved legislation cosponsored by Senator Betty Little that would create a temporary liquor retail permit system to address the sometimes lengthy and costly process of obtaining a liquor license.

  “Some of the most frustrated people I have spoken with are those who have poured their life’s savings and untold hours of work into opening a restaurant only to see months and months go by waiting for their liquor license to be approved,” said Senator Little.

Senate approves temporary liquor license bill

By a 58-3 vote, the state Senate approved legislation Monday that would create a temporary liquor sale permit system to address the sometimes long and expensive process of getting a liquor license.

Bowling Business Discussed in Albany

     Scott McLaughlin of Lucky Strike Lanes in Malone is pictured with Senator Betty Little following a meeting on Tuesday, March 20 in Albany.  McLaughlin discussed issues affecting New York’s bowling businesses including a mandate that requires employers provide a summary of salary and benefits for each employee.  The wage information is already provided to employees on their pay stubs.  Senator Little voted to repeal the duplicative mandate in late February.<
