In support of public safety and in response to violent incidents in New York City involving school aged youth and adults, Tracey Collins, Principal, and Founder of “Fully Persuaded for Children and Families, Inc.,” will come to apartment building lobbies, community rooms or organizations and provide free social–emotional learning classes for children or adults. NYS Senator Eric Adams Responds To Recent “hit And Run” Injuries And Deaths

Previous changes in NYS Penal law only address vehicular accidents that involve personal injury. Currently, a person found guilty of leaving the scene of an accident solely involving property damage is charged only with a traffic infraction. Senator Adams pointed out, however, that when a person strikes an occupied vehicle and flees the scene, he does not know whether he has caused any personal injury.

Senator Eric Adams Joins Sexual Assault Victim To Demand New Reporting Procedures For Sexual Assaults That Involve “date Rape Drugs”

New York State Senator Eric Adams (D, Brooklyn) will hold a press conference with the victim of a sexual assault that may have involved the use of a “date rape drug.”  The 23-year-old woman was attacked after being rendered unconscious while drinking a beverage at a Brooklyn nightclub.  Senator Adams will join the victim in calling for the introduction of specific hospital and police procedures to determine the presence of any drugs that may have been used to assist a sexual assault.

New York State Senator Eric Adams (D, Brooklyn), will hold a press conference with family members of Flonarza Byas to announce the "Flonarza Byas Good Samaritan Law. " The bill will be named in honor of Mr. Byas, who was stabbed while coming to the aid of Transit Authority Employee Maurice Parks during an attempted robbery. Senator Adams’ proposed legislation will add a new sub-division to the law concerning Manslaughter. Current law does not allow the District Attorney to charge the perpertrator(s) involved in the Maurice Parks robbery case with the death of Flonarza Byas.
