Senator Adams Co-hosts the Kick-off of the "Less Talk ... More Action" Tour

Senator Eric Adams co-hosted the kick-off event of the "Less Talk...More Action" tour, held at Medgar Evers College on October 27th.  Ryan Mack, President of Optimum Capital Management L.L.C. and author of "Living in the Village," launched the 8-city tour which will focus on improving financial literacy rates, reducing unemployment rates and reducing mass incarceration rates in African American communities.

Senator Adams attended the Prospect-Lefferts Gardens Group Art Show

Senator Adams attended the neighborhood local art show in the Prospect-Lefferts Gardens area. Various artist in the district, including children will showcased their talent and artwork.  The Gallery Hours: Monday-Friday from 2-8pm, Saturdays from 10-8pm and Sundays from 12-6pm.  The art gallery showing will continue until November 13.

Senator Adams joins the New York State Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus to support the extension of the Millionaire's Tax

Senator Adams joined the New York State Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus and a coalition of elected officials and union leaders gathered on the steps of City Hall in support of extending the millionaires' tax in New York.  The millionaire's tax will increase the tax for individuals whose annual income exceeds $250,000.  With a budget gap in the billions, New York State is facing steep reductions in addition to the dramatic cuts over the last three years in education, health care and transportation.

Comedy and Entertainment Showcase for Brooklyn Senior Citizens

Well Care, in partnership with Senator Eric Adams, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, Senator John Sampson, Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries and Councilmember Letitia James, hosted a comedy and entertainment showcase for over 500 seniors at the Brooklyn Museum on Friday, October 28.  Senior citizens from various senior centers in Brooklyn enjoyed an afternoon of laughter and fellowship.

Senator Adams Speaks at Martial Arts Self-Defense Class at Kings Bay Y at Windor Terrace

On Sunday, October 23, the Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace offered martial arts self-defense classes in response to the recent sexual assaults that have occurred in the community.  Senator Adams shared sexual assault safety tips and crime tips with everyone to ensure safety for themselves and the community.  Invited experts engaged in dialogue on crime prevention, demonstrated self-defense techniques designed for women, and helped them make sound decisions when faced with potentially dangerous situations.

St. Louis Senior Center's 1st Annual Multicultural Celebration

Senator Adams joined the St. Louis Senior Center (230 Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights) for their 1st Annual Multicultural Celebration.  The senior citizens celebrated the diverse cultures represented within the center, with each country making a presentation and providing tasty samples of their country's cuisine for everyone to enjoy.
