“The Court of Appeals today unanimously rejected a challenge to New York’s ability to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states. “Although this is a major victory for equality, the court’s decision only highlights the fact that so many New York couples continue to be denied the full legal protections that come with a marriage license right here in our state. I am optimistic that will change soon.
