New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) helped kick off the 7th Annual Harmony initiative “Pre-Passover Food Drive” sponsored by the Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council (NEQJCC), UJA-Federation of New York, Parker Jewish Institute for Health, Samuel Field Y and the Metropolitan  Council on Jewish Poverty. New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) joined with members and leaders from Troop 1 in Flushing to celebrate their landmark 100th anniversary at Temple Beth Sholom on Saturday February 6, 2010.  Troop 1, is the oldest troop in the Greater New York Councils and one of the oldest troops in the United States. Throughout its history, the service of the troop members has made great and lasting contributions to the entire Queens community.
