Padavan Attends Bayside Hills 9/11 Ceremony

New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) joined with Bayside residents to pay tribute and honor those lost in the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. Deepdale Gardens Community Council Annual Blood Drive

Senator Padavan (Queens) honored the Deepdale Gardens Community Council, Inc. of Little Neck, during their annual blood drive held on August 9th at the Samuel Field Y. The Deepdale Gardens Community Council’s annual blood drive is the largest one-day drive in New York City. The drive attracts more than 200 donors and is done in partnership with the New York Hospital of Queens. Padavan presents the Deepdale Community Council members with a Senate Proclamation honor the Councils contributions to the community and commending them for their annual blood drive.

Fort Totten Troop Family Support Day

On Sunday August 16th, Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) was on-hand at Fort Totten for Family Support Day. The event was for troops and family members of 237th Maintenance Battalion stationed at Fort Totten in Bayside.  The 237th Battalion Unit was instrumental in 9/11 related efforts and have served in both Afghanistan and Iraq. The event included a full BBQ and entertainment throughout the afternoon. During the event, Boy Scout Kevin Wong was recognized for his successful troop care package drive which has helped provide troop serving overseas with the comfort of home.

On Saturday June 20, 2009 New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) honored a pair of two new Eagle Scouts during separate Court of Honor ceremonies in Little Neck and Flushing.  In keeping with his long-standing tradition of honoring young leaders in the community, Padavan presented each Eagle Scout with the New York State Senate Medal of Outstanding Achievement and a Certificate of Merit in recognition of their accomplishment.

Padavan Attends PS 135Q Graduation Ceremony

New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) was the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony for students from PS 135Q, the Bellaire School, at the New Greater Bethel Ministries in Queens Village. During his keynote address, Senator Padavan praised the fifth grade graduates for their hard work and success in their studies and urged them to volunteer and get involved in their community.
